Easy Cabbage Thoran (Cabbage Stir Fry) Recipe

Ingredients
- Cabbage – 500 gms (Finely chopped)
- Onion – 1 cup (Finely chopped)
- Tomato – 1 small (Finely chopped)
- Fresh Coconut – 1 cup (Scraped)
- Coriander leaves – 1/2 cup (Finely chopped)
- Curry leaves – Few
- Green chilli – 4 to 5 nos (finely chopped)
- Ginger – 2 tsp (finely chopped)
- Salt – as needed
- Oil – 2 to 3 tbsp
- Dried Red chilli – 2 to 3 nos
- Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Urud Dal (Uzhunnu Parippu) – 1 tbsp
- Chana Dal (Kadala Parippu) – 1 tbsp
Preparation of Cabbage Thoran (Cabbage Poriyal)
In a bowl, mix all the ingredients from 1 to 9 thoroughly with your hands. Heat a pan and add oil to it. When the oil is hot add mustard seeds. When the mustard seeds start to pop, add dried red chilli, urud dal, chana dal, and few curry leaves. Saute till the dals turn brown. Now add the prepared cabbage mix and cook till it becomes dry and all the excess water in it is gone. Stir in between so that it will not get burnt. Tasty Thoran is ready to serve.
