1. Kokum Sharbat Drink
Ingredients
- Kokum – 2 pieces (soaked in 1 cup of water for 2 hours)
- Lime juice – 1 tsp
- Sugar – 2 tbsp
- Roasted cumin seed powder – ¼ tsp
- Black slat – ¼ tsp
- Ice cubes – few
Preparation
Grind the soaked Kokum including the water along with all ingredients (except ice cubes). Sieve it, add ice cubes and enjoy the drink.
2. Sol Kadi
Ingredients
- Kokum – 1/2 cup, soaked in 1 cup of water for 2 hours
- Fresh grated coconuts – 2 cups
- Salt – as needed
- Green chilli – 1 no
- Garlic – 1 clove
- Luke warm water – ½ cup
- Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp, finely chopped
- Ice cubes – few
Preparation
Sieve the kokum out of the water. Use this kokum water for grinding the above ingredients, by adding the luke warm water as well. Sieve it, add coriander leaves and ice cubes. Enjoy the drink.
3. Kokum Salt Lassi
Ingredients
- Plain yogurt – 1 cup
- Kokum – 1/2 cup, soaked in 1 cup of water for 2 hours
- Roasted cumin seed powder – ¼ tsp
- Black salt – ¼ tsp
- Salt as needed
Preparation
Sieve the kokum out of the water. Use this kokum water for blending with the yogurt and salt, to prepare the lassi. Then sprinkle roasted cumin seeds powder and black salt, add ice cubes and enjoy the drink.
4. Kokum Lime Mocktail (Mojito) – Kulikki Sharbat
Ingredients
- Sugar – 2 tbsp
- Salt – 1/2 tsp
- Lime juice – 2 tsp
- Kokum – 1/2 cup, soaked in 1 cup of water for 2 hours
- Green chilli – 1 no, chopped
- Ginger – ½ tsp, crushed
- Subja seeds – 2 tbsp, soaked for 30 minutes
- Pineapple juice – 1 tbsp (optional)
- Ice cubes – few
Preparation
Sieve the kokum out of the water. Into this water add all the ingredients and use a shaker the prepare the mocktail. Add more water as per your taste.
